Climbing & Bouldering

Massively redeveloped in 2020, our new Climbing and Bouldering Wall offers the opportunity for everyone to have a go at climbing, whilst working with our experienced, qualified, and enthusiastic staff. We are thrilled to bring this amazing new facility to the people of Copeland and beyond.

This was all possible by funding from Sport England, Garfield Weston Foundation, Crowdfunding, and Cumbria Community Foundation.

We deliver National Indoor Climbing Award Scheme (NICAS) level 1, 2 & 3 and also National Indoor Bouldering Award Scheme level (NIBAS) levels 1 & 2. These are personal ability awards, working in a coaching framework to enable young people to become accomplished and knowledgeable climbers/boulderers.

We also offer trips away to other climbing centres and outdoor venues as part of the larger programme of what we offer in progressing young people’s skills and abilities.

CLIMBING WALL FOR HIRE

The climbing wall can also be hired for personal/group use as well as public access for competent climbers/boulderers.
