We are saddened to learn of the passing of our Honorary President, Trevor Monk, last week. Trevor has been involved with WHYP since the early years firstly as a Trustee, then our chair, and finally as our President. Trevor was a keen paddler and helped in the beginning taking young people out canoeing in Whitehaven Harbour along with the staff. As our chair he oversaw the move to our current premises in Swingpump Lane, in 2008, and as an architect he helped greatly in designing the layout. He was still offering advice and guidance during our redevelopment of our sports hall in 2020 despite being in his 80's! We all extend our deepest sympathies to his wife Renee, sons Graham and David and his daughter-in-law, and our colleague, Julie Monk. #franciscscottcharitytrust#CopelandCommunityFund#GarfieldWeston#thehenrysmithcharity#cumbriacommunityfoundation#sellafield...
