We are looking for young volunteers aged between 14 and 21 to help with an exciting and cutting edge project happening right here in Whitehaven!
You will be someone with a passion for learning about and caring for the natural environment, someone who is good at sharing ideas and talking to other people of all ages and backgrounds, and someone who really wants to make a difference in their local community.
We’re calling this project ‘The SeaBins Project’ because, as well as raising awareness in the community about the local marina environment, we’re also hoping to purchase and install SeaBin technology as a permanent solution to cleaning floating litter from the marina.
There is no set number of hours that you need to volunteer for but activities could include beach clean ups, canoe trips with local school groups, marina water testing, and even presentations to local community groups.
Interested? Call Gina or Steve on 01946 690 404.
