We hope you all had a fab Easter πŸ₯🍫🐣πŸ₯šπŸ°In the run up to Easter and over Easter Half-Term our young people took part in various activities, starting with Heart Start delivered by Whitehaven Fire Station. A big thank you to the crew, all the young people had a great time and did really well. πŸš’Thank you to Charlotte, Cumbria Wildlife Trust for inviting us to plant wildflowers on land behind the Beacon. It was a very windy day and the young people planted 500 wildflowers, can't wait to see these grow. 🌻Both Girls Groups enjoyed their Easter activities, free chocolate bar to anyone who spots Steve in one of our photos!! 🍫During the first week of Easter Half-Term:We had 2 days working with Chris, National Trust - the young people worked extremely hard planting wild seeds over 1200squaremetres of land next to the newly formed path.Silver Duke of Edinburgh's Award training πŸŽ’πŸšΆβ€β™‚οΈ 2 Trips to Keswick Climbing Wall πŸ§—β€β™‚οΈ which everyone enjoyed.Holiday Club in our Centre doing various activities - football, basketball, arts, crafts, board games and a movie. πŸ₯…βš½οΈπŸ–πŸŽ¨Over the second week of Easter Half-Term:We had a trip to the Lake District Wildlife Park πŸ¦₯πŸ¦‰ which was a fun day, especially watching the Otters juggle stones.2 Days of Bronze Duke of Edinburgh's Award Expedition training.Table Tennis session. πŸ“ Holiday Club - basketball, football, board games and a movie. ⚽️πŸ₯…πŸ“Our last trip was to Ratho, International Climbing Centre πŸ§—β€β™‚οΈ at Edinburgh for some of our regular climbers - they all did really well and enjoyed the long day.#CopelandCommunityFund #GarfieldWeston #HenrySmithCharity #franciscscottcharitabletrust #cumbriacommunityfoundation #sellafieldltd ... Thank you to PCSO Mark Fishpool and PCSO Colette Harrison, our older Girls Group enjoyed their visit to Whitehaven Police Station last night. Annual Awards Evening 27th February 2024Congratulations to all those who were presented certificates last night at our Annual Awards Evening. It was lovely to see so many people attend.
