The main focus of Keyfund is to allow young people of between 11 to 25 to plan and fund a project of their creation. For example, Whitehaven Harbour Youth Project groups have been successful in funding reunion events sailing, whitewater rafting residential and more…
Each group starts out on their first application at level one, with the following increases in money available to fund their project:
Level 1 = £250
Level 2 = £500
Level 3 = £100
Level 4 = £2000
At level 3 and 4, more
of an emphasis will be on Community based projects – those projects that will be
of benefit to more than just the young people that are applying.
We work in conjunction with Young Cumbria and the Keyfund Federation Newcastle to
bring this facility to young people who attend the Whitehaven Harbour Youth Project.
